In healthcare today, safe Moving and Handling techniques and equipment have an increased focus – a focus that Handicare pioneers with the aim to maintain a clients dignity and independence whilst simultaneously aiming to prevent the risk of injury to both the carer, and the person being cared for. Developed as a complimentary training method to Handicare’s popular topical Ethos Education Programme, Handicare are pleased to now offer a new form of training – introducing Ethos Skills Workshops.

Ethos Skills Workshops provide support to healthcare professionals by demonstrating the features and benefits of Moving and Handling equipment and are presented by Handicare’s  ROSPA Moving and Handling Level 4 qualified Business Development Team.

Ethos Skills Workshops are, dependent on the equipment being demonstrated, up to 1 hour long and are available to healthcare professionals free of charge – all we ask is that you kindly provide the venue and access to a profiling bed if required. Delegates who attend an Ethos Skills Workshop will also be presented with a Skills Workshop Certificate of Attendance for inclusion within their professional portfolio.

“I would just like to thank you for the training this morning, feedback after you left was really positive from all attendees, some great tips around how to address what can be difficult Moving & Handling issues with simple innovations. I certainly picked up some great tips around looking at client’s assessed ability in conjunction with the assistive equipment and small supportive aids.”
